Senator Hagen - Stop the Insanity!

My message to Senator Kay Hagen (D-NC) on the upcoming vote to bring the 2000 page Senate Healthcare Reform bill to the floor of the Senate for debate; a move that will surely lead to passage with the support of less than 60 senators.

"Vote NO on the motion to bring the Senate Healthcare reform bill out of committee and onto the floor. This disingenuous political ploy will likely lead to single-party passage of the bill with as few as 51 votes via the "nuclear option." The politics of this entire process has stripped the clothes off the emporer and shown the Democrat leadership to be deaf to the people of the nation and disrespectful of the Constitution they swore to uphold. Senator Hagen, show that you will rise above partisan politics and do what is right for your constituents and the country. Stop this bill and the fiscal insanity and power-lust that it represents and take action to unite Americans on reforms most can support rather than deepen the divide on so far-reaching issues as health, life, economic survival."

Innovation in the 21st Century: Keeping the US Competitive

Sadly, the buisiness sector has been duped (along with most Americans) into believing that government investment is necessary for success. Nothing could be further from the truth. Innovation is the product of the good, old-fashioned, profit motive. Investment from the public sector, aside from being fundamentally unconstitutional, merely politicizes industry and consumer outcomes. Witness the government takeover of the American auto industry and the misdirected investment in so-called "green" energy that is stiffling, not expanding economic growth and opportunity in America. Of course, government has a regulatory role in managing the playng field and protecting private investors and consumers from corporate fraud and abuse, but government "partnership" in business is just a new name for old fashioned socialism and/or facisim. Return the power and the wealth to the people and industry and innovation will flourish.
